Missing man, Anibal Acosta, 69
The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a missing man.
Anibal Acosta, 69, was last seen on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 9:30 a.m., in the Islington Avenue/Finch Avenue West area.
He is described as having brown eyes, 5'11"-6', medium build, moustache, thick eyebrows, salt-and-pepper grey balding hair and speaks only Spanish. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a golf shirt with white trim on the sleeves, blue faded jeans and running shoes.
Police are concerned for his safety.

Traffic fatality #22/2011 Lawrence Avenue East, at Don Valley Parkway on-ramp
On Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 2:38 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision on Lawrence Avenue East, east of the Don Valley Parkway northbound ramp.
It is reported that:
- the driver of a TTC bus was travelling westbound on Lawrence Avenue East, east of the Don Valley Parkway,
- a driver of a Ford Crane truck was also travelling westbound on Lawrence Avenue East, when it was rear-ended by the bus, causing it to crash into the guardrail of the northbound Don Valley Parkway on-ramp,
- as result of this impact, a third vehicle, a Honda, also travelling westbound on Lawrence Avenue East, was struck by debris from the collision.
A 43-year-old woman, a passenger on the bus, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A total of 13 other bus passengers were treated for minor injuries.
Police are requesting assistance from the driver of a transport truck that would have been in the area at the time of the collision. This driver is not a suspect in the collision and may have important witness information.

Harold Belcher, 57, was last seen on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 5:40 a.m., in the Eglinton Avenue West/Renforth Drive area.
He is described as white, 62, 190 lbs., grey hair with a beard. He wears glasses.
He may be driving a 1996 blue Chrysler Concord with Ontario licence plate BLST 173.

It is reported that:
- on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 6:30 a.m., a woman was walking her dog in Riverdale Park when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her
The suspect is described as having a fair white complexion, late teens-early 20s, 5'10"-6'0", with a thin build, thin long face, and a small mouth. He has rosy cheeks, a sandy-brown goatee and light-coloured eyes. He was wearing dark pants, grey shoes, a black or dark-blue hoodie with the hood up, a black backpack with a turquoise mat rolled up, sticking out of the top.

Two men arrested in firearm investigation, Handgun seized
On Monday, August 29, 2011 at approximately 9 p.m., members of the TAVIS Rapid Response Team were on patrol in the Parma Court/Victoria Park Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
- officers investigated five men and a vehicle in a parking lot on Parma Court
- during the investigation, a .45 calibre handgun, loaded with hollow-point ammunition, was seized from the vehicle
- the two men seated in the car were charged, the other three men released with no charges laid
Said Mohamad Ali, 25 of Toronto, and Omar Bawazir, 23, of Kitchener have each been charged with:
1) Possession of a Prohibited Firearm With Ammunition
2) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
3) Careless Storage of a Firearm
4) Unauthorized Presence of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
5) Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
6) Possession of Firearm Knowing the Serial Number Has Been Altered or Defaced
7) Possession of a Firearm Obtained by the Commission of an Offence.
Both men were scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 10 a.m., room 507.
The Toronto Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy (TAVIS) is a Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services provincially funded initiative dedicated to creating and maintaining sustainable, safe neighbourhoods. TAVIS initiatives are operating in all of the 17 Toronto Police Divisions and are supported by every unit in the Service.
It is alleged that:
