Two men, two women charged during trespass investigation
On Friday, March 30, 2012, after 1 p.m., police were called to the rotunda area of 361 University Avenue for a trespass call.
Officers attended and spoke with a number of people regarding the removal of tents that had been set up.
It is alleged that:
- as the officers spoke to the protesters, and served trespass notices on them, a man became agitated and began yelling and screaming
- police officers cautioned the man regarding his activities and asked him to leave
- the man refused and was arrested
- the man resisted arrest and officers struggled with him
- additional officers were requested to assist with the situation
- a man and two women obstructed the officers, leading to their arrests
One man and one woman received minor injuries during the arrest and were treated at hospital.
John Erb, 44, of no fixed address, is charged with:
1. Cause Disturbance
2. Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
3. Assault Peace Officer
4. Possession of Marijuana
5. Fail to Comply Probation
Craig Poirier, 35, of no fixed address, is charged with:
1. Obstruct Peace Officer
2. Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
3. Possession of Marijuana
Alice Evonic, 19, of no fixed address, is charged with:
1. Obstruct Peace Officer
Angela Turvey, 36, of no fixed address, is charged with:
1. Obstruct Peace Officer
2. Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
The accused are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, March 31, 2012, room 101, 10 a.m.

Eight people arrested in drug investigation, Drugs, cash and firearm seized
On Thursday, March 29, 2011, the Toronto Drug Squad, with the assistance of Durham Regional Police Service, concluded a two-month investigation. Police executed eleven search warrants across the GTA.
It is alleged that:
- police seized 362 grams of cocaine, 520 grams of marijuana, 71 Oxycontin pills, a .22 cal handgun and $112,000 in cash
Willis Manning, 39, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) six counts of Trafficking Cocaine
2) six counts of Possession of Proceeds
Atu Dolo, 50, of Ajax, has been charged with:
1) six counts of Trafficking Cocaine
2) eight counts of Possession Proceeds
3) two counts of Possession Cocaine
4) two counts of Possession Marijuana FTP
5) Possession of Oxycontin FTP Trafficking
Christina Vaneyndthoven, 33, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) two counts of Possession Oxycontin FTP Trafficking
2) Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
3) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
4) Careless Storage of a Firearm
5) Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

Police request assistance with robbery investigation, Security camera images of suspect released
The Toronto Police Service is trying to identify a woman who allegedly robbed two banks in Toronto.
It is reported that:
- on Friday, June 19, 2009, at 1:50 p.m., a woman attended a bank on Albion Road
- the woman approached a teller and handed the teller a note
- the woman indicated she had a gun and demanded cash
- the woman left the bank with a quantity of cash
It is further reported that:
- on Friday, June 19, 2009, at 7:20 p.m., the same woman walked into a bank on Wilson Avenue
- the woman approached a teller and handed the teller a note
- the woman indicated she had a gun and demanded cash
- the woman left the bank with a quantity of cash
The woman is described as black, 20-25, 55", with braided hair extensions tied in a bun. She was last seen wearing dark, thick-framed sunglasses and carrying a dark shoulder bag carried on her right side.

Doreen Mattison, 81, was last seen on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 9:55 a.m., in the Neilson Road/Sheppard Avenue East area.
She is believed to be driving a blue 2000 Ford Taurus station wagon with Ontario licence plate ALLT 811.
She is described as white, 54, medium build, 160-170 lbs., with short, grey hair and brown eyes. She was last wearing a navy-blue 3/4-length jacket with a light-blue sweater and white New Balance shoes with a purple logo. She is believed to be carrying an aluminum cane with a grey grip and usually wears a beige toque with a two-inch-white band and carries a large beige purse.
Police are concerned for her safety.
