In May 2011, the Toronto Police Service Integrated Gun & Gang Task Force, in partnership with the London Police Service, Waterloo Regional Police Service, and the Ontario Provincial Police, entered into a joint-forces criminal organization investigation.
The investigation involved criminal organization offences, attempt murder, firearms trafficking/importation, drug trafficking, robbery, shootings, prostitution and other criminal offences.
As the investigation matured, it spread to other jurisdictions, including Windsor, Hamilton, Peel, York, Durham, Ottawa, Renfrew, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Fort McMurray.
In the early hours of this morning, 67 search warrants were executed simultaneously throughout Toronto; London; Hamilton; Durham Region; York Region; Peel Region; Windsor; Ottawa; Calgary, Alberta; and Surrey, British Columbia.
More than 900 police officers, including nearly 400 tactical officers, were involved in executing the warrants. Officers come from the following services:
Toronto Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police, London Police Service, Waterloo Regional Police Service, Windsor Police Service, Ottawa Police Service, Canada Border Services Agency, Peel Regional Police, Hamilton Police Service, Durham Regional Police Service , York Regional Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Calgary Police Service, South Simcoe Police Service, Barrie Police Service, Kingston Police Force, Guelph Police Service, Halton Regional Police Service, Niagara Regional Police Service, Peterborough Lakefield Community Police Service, Stratford Police Service, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
The investigation is ongoing.

On Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 7 p.m., at Bishop Marrocco Thomas Merton CSS, 1515 Bloor Street West, the Toronto Police Service and Canadian Rock Star Robb Nash will speak out against bullying at an 11 Division town hall meeting.
To further its anti-violence and pro-community message to youth, the Toronto Police Service and MUSIC! Not Mischief* are pleased to partner with Winnipeg-based Canadian rock star Robb Nash, frontman for Live on Arrival." Robb has temporarily put recording and touring on hold while he visits schools across the country to speak to kids about making positive life choices. The Toronto Police Service, in partnership with Click here MUSIC! Not Mischief ProAction Cops&Kids** and the Rotary Club of Downtown Toronto are pleased to bring Robb Nash to Toronto between Tuesday, December 13, 2011 to Friday, December 16, 2011, to tour some of the schools partnered with the MUSIC! Not Mischief program. The town hall meeting is hosted by the 11 Division Community Police Liaison Committee.
The theme of this years town hall meeting is Bullying." Speakers will include various anti-bullying experts, including a representative from Kids Help Phone. Robb Nash will speak about and perform his song, Bullet," which is written about a youngster who commits suicide, as a result of being bullied. Community members will have the opportunity to ask panel experts questions about bullying and other issues.
Any media wishing to access Robb Nash are welcome to attend the 11 Division town hall, on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 7 p.m. Organizers are also requesting the media to contact the school directly, to seek permission from the principal.
