On Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., at 54 Division, 41 Cranfield Road, Detective Richard Duffus will update the media on the investigation into a seizure of firearms, including stun guns disguised as cellphones.

Acting Director of Intelligence Operations of the Canada Border Services Agency Jerry Jesso will be in attendance.

A quantity of property seized, including a TEC-9 submachine gun, Cobra 9mm handgun, stun guns disguised as cellphones seized, will be on display.

Media advisory, Wednesday, November 16, 2011, 7 a.m., Millwood Bridge, TPS keeping watchful eye on drivers and their vehicles

On Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at 7 a.m., on the Millwood Bridge, in the Pape Avenue/Donlands Avenue area, 53, 54 and 55 Division officers, in conjunction with the Ministry of Transportation, will be conducting a commercial vehicle inspection with a strong focus on driver and equipment safety conditions.

The Toronto Police Service is asking all commercial vehicle drivers to ensure their load is properly secured on their vehicles, as well as to complete a circle-check of their vehicle prior to the start of their day.
