Two men and one woman face 70 charges in firearm investigation, Guns/drugs seized

In January 2012, the Toronto Drug Squad started a drug investigation in the west end of Toronto. On Tuesday, February 7, 2012, police executed search warrants on two homes in the Royal York Road/The Queensway area.

It is alleged that:

- police seized a quantity of cocaine, marijuana and cash

- police also seized a semi-auto handgun, a shotgun, two military-type rifles, 2,538 rounds of ammunition and a 2008 Acura TL.

Johnathan Murphy, 22, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) four counts of Traffic in Cocaine
2) two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Cocaine
3) six counts of Possession of Proceeds
4) two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Marijuana
5) four counts of Possession of Firearm Unauthorized
6) four counts of Possession of Unregistered/Restricted Weapon
7) three counts of Possession Prohibited Device
8) Possession Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
9) four counts of Careless Storage of Firearm
10) two counts of Careless Storage Ammunition
11) four counts of Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
12) three counts of Possession of Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

Quishia Bercasio-Lewis, 23, of Toronto, has been charged with

1) Possession for the Purpose of Cocaine
2) Possession for the Purpose of Marijuana
3) Possession of Proceeds

Edward Rut, 48, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Possession for the Purpose of Cocaine
2) Possession of Proceeds
3) Possession for the Purpose of Marijuana
4) four counts of Possession of Firearm Unauthorized
5) four counts of Possession of Unregistered/Restricted Weapon
6) three counts of Possession Prohibited Device
7) Possession Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
8) four counts of Careless Storage of Firearm
9) two counts of Careless Storage – Ammunition
10) Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
