Missing woman, Elizabeth Lewis, 57

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing woman.

Elizabeth Lewis, 57, was last seen on Thursday, March 15, 2012, during the morning, in the The Queensway/Roncesvalles Avenue area.

She is described as black, 5’5"–5’6", 150 lbs. She was last seen wearing a brown trenchcoat, blue turtleneck sweater, grey track pants, and black boots.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Police request assistance with fail-to-remain personal injury collision investigation

On Sunday, March 18, 2012, at 8:14 p.m., police responded to a call for a fail-to-remain personal injury collision investigation on Finch Avenue West at Sentinel Road.

It is reported that:

- a Pontiac Grand Am was travelling eastbound on Finch Avenue West, approaching Sentinel Road

- a Toyota Corolla was travelling westbound on Finch Avenue West, also approaching Sentinel Road

- the vehicles were involved in a head-on collision within the intersection; the driver of the Grand Am fled on foot, failing to remain at the scene of the collision

The driver of the Toyota Corolla sustained minor injuries while his passenger, a woman, sustained life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to hospital.

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.

Bernice Lily Boyd, 90, was last seen on Monday, March 19, 2012, at 8 a.m., in the Spadina Road/Bernard Avenue area.

Missing man, Keith Nicol, 52

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Keith Nicol, 52, was last seen on Sunday, March 18, 2012, in the McLevin Avenue/Neilson Road area.

He is described as white, slim build, 5'9", brown eyes, with thick, wavy shoulder-length dirty-blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt, blue jeans, grey socks and white sneakers.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Police request assistance with personal injury collision, Rathburn Road/West Deane Park Drive

On Sunday, March 18, 2012, at 4:05 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Rathburn Road/West Deane Park Drive.

It is reported that:

- a 56-year-old man, driving a Chevrolet Corvette, was stopped at a red traffic signal, westbound on Rathburn Road at Martingrove Road

- a 27-year-old man, riding a Suzuki motorcycle, was also stopped westbound on Rathburn Road, in the bicycle lane

-both vehicles accelerated at a high rate of speed, westbound on Rathburn Road

- a 76-year-old man, driving a Chevrolet van, was westbound on Rathburn Road, ahead of the approaching vehicles, slowing down and turning right onto West Deane Park Drive

- the van was struck by the Suzuki motorcycle and the rider was thrown approximately 30 metres

The 27-year-old man sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

20-year-old man pulled from Lake Ontario

On Friday, March 16, 2012, at 3:44 a.m., police received information that a 20-year-old man, of Markham, had fallen into Lake Ontario and had become submerged at the foot of Bay Street and Queen's Quay West.

Police arrived and the man was pulled from the water. He was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.

52 Division detectives are investigating this death. There appears to be nothing suspicious at this time.

Two men wanted in Assault Bodily Harm investigation, Joel Gager, 18, and Shmar Myrie, 21, Photographs of men released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating two men wanted in an assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- in November 2011, the two suspects were involved in a dispute with a 59-year-old man over a sum of money

- the suspects assaulted the man several times on the head and body with a piece of wood

The victim was treated in hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.

Joel Gager, 18, of no fixed address, is wanted for:

1) Assault with a Weapon
2) Assault Causing Bodily Harm
3) Weapons Dangerous
4) two counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance

He is described as black, 5’7”, 140 lbs., with black hair.

Shmar Myrie, 21, of no fixed address, is wanted for:

1) Assault with a Weapon
2) Assault Causing Bodily Harm
3) Weapons Dangerous
4) three counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance
5) Threatening Bodily Harm

He is described as black, 6’2”, 220 lbs.

Sexual Assault Alert, Spadina Avenue/Dundas Street West area, Man wanted

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a sexual assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a 20-year-old woman was using a public washroom in the Spadina Avenue/Dundas Street West area when she was sexually assaulted by a man

- the man fled the scene in an unknown direction

The suspect is being described as white with brown, long, unkempt hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a green T-shirt, green hat and wearing glasses.
