Homicide #2/2012, Mike Pimentel, 24, Update, Person of Interest sought by investigators

On Sunday, January 1, 2012, at 2:48 a.m., police responded to a call for a stabbing near 171 East Liberty Street.

The Homicide Squad has an excellent description of a woman whom police believe was with the person responsible for Mike Pimentel's death.

This woman has been classified as a Person of Interest.

The Homicide Squad is appealing to this woman to either contact the Homicide Squad or have your lawyer contact police.

The Homicide Squad is also appealing to anyone who knows the identity of the woman to contact the Homicide Squad.

The Person of Interest is described as 20-30, 5’6"-5’8", dark hair with long, blonde, hair extensions. She was last seen wearing black knee-high boots, a black skirt with a white top and black waist-length jacket with a design on the back.

Three men and 17-year-old boy face 27 charges in firearm investigation, Loaded .38 Special revolver/drugs seized

On Friday, February 10, 2012, at 11:50 p.m., police arrested three men and a 17-year-old boy in connection with firearm investigation in the Kingston Road/Morningside Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- the accused were in possession of a loaded .38 Special revolver

- they were also in possession of a quantity of marijuana and crack cocaine

Jeffery Emanuel Meerza, 18; Bismark Barrett, 20; Tyrrell Jahmal Turner, 19; and a 17-year-old boy, all of Toronto, have each been charged with:

1) Unauthorized presence of a firearm in a motor vehicle
2) Careless storage of a firearm
3) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
4) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
5) Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
6) Possession of prohibited weapon obtained by the commission of an offence

Jeffery Emanuel Meerza has also been charged with:

1) Carry Concealed Weapon
2) Fail to Comply with Probation
3) Fail to comply Recognizance
4) Possession of Marijuana

Bismark Barrett has also been charged with:

1) Fail to Comply with Probation
2) Assault with intent to resist arrest
3) Possession of Cocaine

They were scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 10 a.m. room 101.

Missing man located, K'vonn Moodie, 18

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance locating a missing man.

K’vonn Moodie, 18, was last seen on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at 7 p.m., in the Dean Park Road/Meadowvale Road area.

He was located on Monday, February 13, 2012.
