Woman faces five charges in theft-from-mail investigation
On Tuesday, January 31, 2012, with the assistance of Canada Post, police arrested a woman in a theft-from-mail investigation.
It is alleged that:
- the accused was an employee of the Canada Post Corporation
- on Monday, January 30, 2012, the accused was under surveillance by Canada Post security
- the accused was seen stealing mail that contained gift cards
Geraldine Hollick, 64, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) Criminal Breach of Trust
2) Theft from mail
3) Possession Property obtained by Crime
4) Open mail unlawfully
5) Open mail unlawfully
Police and Canada Post are encouraging the public not to mail cash.

On Sunday, February 12, 2012, at 2:30 a.m., police responded to a call for an assault in the Harbord Street/Palmerston Avenue area.
It is reported that:
- on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at 2:30 a.m., a taxi driver picked up a fare in the Bloor Street West/Manning Avenue area
- the man requested to be taken to a location
- the driver told the man that the location did not exist
- the driver stopped the cab in the Harbord Street/Palmerston Avenue area
- the man became upset and assaulted the driver
The driver was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The man is described as white, 20-25, 6', with a muscular build.

Aurel Gropper, 86, was last seen on Monday, February, 13, 2012, at 4 p.m., in the Ruddington Drive/Cummer Avenue area.
He is described as white, 57, 140 lbs., white hair and moustache and speaks with a Romanian accent. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, black shoes and carrying green plastic shopping bags.
Police are concerned for his safety.

Priscilla Hogan, 38, is described as white, 411, 160 lbs., blonde or light-brown hair and has a tattoo of a gun and flag on her left arm. She may also go by Priscilla Mambassi or Priscilla Mampassi.
Police are concerned there may be more victims.

- a 59-year-old woman in the house confronted him
- he stole her purse and pushed the woman
- he fled the scene
It is further alleged that:
- on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at 11:05 a.m., the same man walked into a bank in the Church Street/Wellesley Street area
- he demanded money from the teller
- he indicated he was armed with a gun
- he fled with a quantity of money
He is described as white, 27, 5'6", 150 lbs. with black hair.
He is considered dangerous.

Three men and 17-year-old boy face 27 charges in firearm investigation, Loaded .38 Special revolver/drugs seized
On Friday, February 10, 2012, at 11:50 p.m., police arrested three men and a 17-year-old boy in connection with firearm investigation in the Kingston Road/Morningside Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
- the accused were in possession of a loaded .38 Special revolver
- they were also in possession of a quantity of marijuana and crack cocaine
Jeffery Emanuel Meerza, 18; Bismark Barrett, 20; Tyrrell Jahmal Turner, 19; and a 17-year-old boy, all of Toronto, have each been charged with:
1) Unauthorized presence of a firearm in a motor vehicle
2) Careless storage of a firearm
3) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
4) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
5) Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
6) Possession of prohibited weapon obtained by the commission of an offence

1) Carry Concealed Weapon
2) Fail to Comply with Probation
3) Fail to comply Recognizance
4) Possession of Marijuana
