Woman faces four charges in fraud investigation, Nina Willis, 47, Photograph of woman released

On Tuesday, January 3, 2012, police arrested a woman in connection with a fraud investigation.

It is alleged that:

- the accused replied to two separate advertisements for homes for rent in the Toronto area

- the accused provided the homeowners with fake information about her employment and the amount of money she made

- the accused signed a lease agreement with the homeowners

- the accused then provided the homeowners with fraudulent cheques

Nina Willis, 47, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) two counts of Uttering a Forged Document
2) Fraud Over
3) Fraud Under

She is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Monday, January 23, 2012, room 505, at 2 p.m.

Police believe there may be more victims.

He was last seen wearing sunglasses, a black vest, a grey sweater and white cotton pants. Alert ! Sexual Assault – Six suspects sought

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a sexual assault investigation. It is reported that: - on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at 9:30 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the Yonge Street/Eglinton Avenue West area - the woman was picked up in a vehicle by a group of men in the Yonge Street/Gerrard Street area - the woman was driven to a home in the Yonge Street/Eglinton Avenue West area - the woman was then sexually assaulted by the group of men The first suspect is described as brown, 6'1", medium build, with short, dark mohawk hair, overlapped teeth in front, eyes close together and a long nose. He was last seen wearing jeans and a grey sweater. The second suspect is described as brown, 5'6", stocky build, with longer, curly dark hair, round beady eyes, with a mole on his right cheek. The third suspect is described as brown, 5'8", stocky build with dark, long, wavy afro hair. The fourth suspect is described as brown, 5'9", small build, unkempt dark hair, with a long face and a bump in his nose. The fifth suspect is described as brown, 5'10", medium build, with short, dark hair in a mohawk style, and a square, cleft chin. The sixth suspect is described as brown, 5'10", thin build with a long face. Christopher Canadian Missing man

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man. Christopher Canadian, 35, was last seen on Friday, December 30, 2011, during the morning, in the Kingston Road/Midland Avenue area. He is described as black, 5’7”, 160 lbs., brown eyes and a bald or shaved head. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with "security" written on it, black cargo pants and a grey “Securitas” shirt. Police are concerned for his safety. Homicide home on Airdrie Road

On Sunday, January 1, 2012, just after 1 p.m., police were called to a home on Airdrie Road for a missing-person call. During the investigation, police located a deceased person inside the home. The identity of the victim is not yet known. A man has been charged with Second Degree Murder. No further details are being released at this time.

Man charged in sexual assault investigation

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, January 1, 2012, at approximately 5 p.m., a 10-year-old girl was approached by a man who propositioned her to attend a nearby washroom with him,

- he attempted to touch her in an inappropriate manner.

On Sunday, January 1, 2012, Hung Van Nguyen, 38, of no fixed address, was charged with Invitation to Sexual Touching.

Police are appealing for information about the accused. He is known to frequent the Dundas Street West/Spadina Avenue area.

He is described as 5'7", 170 lbs., black straggly hair, brown eyes, and a full beard.

Police are concerned for her safety.

On Sunday, January 1, 2012, at 4 a.m., police responded to a call for a shooting at 101 Hupfield Trail.

It is reported that:

- police located a man, on the sidewalk outside the house, with apparent gunshot wounds to his body

- the man was pronounced dead at the scene

The victim has been identified as Jamahl Franklin, 20, of Toronto.
