Missing man, Christopher Hill, 27

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Christopher Hill, 27, was last seen on Thursday, March 22, 2012, in the Bloor Street West/Ossington Avenue area.

He is described as white, 5’10”, 170 lbs., with a medium build, dark-brown hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and beige corduroy pants.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Homicide #10/2012, Linda Thomas, 60, Arrest made, Man charged with Second Degree Murder

On Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 1:30 p.m., police responded to a check-address call at 18 Hollywood Avenue.

Officers attended and located a deceased woman having suffered obvious trauma.

On Monday, March 26, 2012, Anthony Yim, 20, of Toronto, was charged with Second Degree Murder.

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, room 101, 10 a.m.

Man faces two charges in Indecent Assault on a male investigation

On Monday, March 26, 2012, a man was arrested in connection with a historic sexual assault investigation that took place within the former Municipality of Toronto.

It is alleged that:

- the accused operated an animal sanctuary called the “Endangered Animal Sanctuary” within the former Municipality of Toronto

- the accused sexually assaulted the victim

- the victim was a volunteer at the animal sanctuary

William Valliere, 71, of Grafton, Ontario, has been charged with:

1) one count of Indecent Assault on a male
2) one count of Gross Indecency

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park, on Monday, May 7, 2012, at 2 p.m., room 505.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Man charged in theft investigation

On Friday, March 16, 2012, police received a call for the report of a theft that occurred at Bladen library at the University of Toronto, Scarborough campus.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at approximately 5:10 p.m., a 19-year-old university student left his laptop unattended in the library for a very short period of time, and when he returned his laptop was gone

- the student had installed a software program in his laptop allowing him to track it if it was ever lost or stolen

- as a result of the software, police were able to track down the computer and identify the accused

Ming Chong, 18, of Markham, is charged with:
