Ajay Mathur, 20, was last seen on Friday, December 24, 2011, in the John Garland Boulevard/Martin Grove Road area, and was last spoken to over the phone on Saturday, December 30, 2011.

On Thursday, March 22, 2012, Niagara Parks Police Service with the Niagara Regional Police Service, located human remains in the Niagara River. The remains were identified as Ajay Mathur.
A post-mortem examination was completed. Foul play is not suspected.
