Road closures, Update, Roads re-opened
On Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at 6 a.m., the following roads were closed:
- Jarvis Street, between Richmond Street East and King Street East
- King Street East, between Jarvis Street and Church Street
- Adelaide Street East, between Jarvis Street and Church Street
The roads have now been re-opened.

Man faces two charges in child pornography investigation, Alec Stanley Owen, 85
On Tuesday, November 22, 2011, the Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a home in the Birchmount Road/St. Clair Avenue area.
As a result, Alec Stanley Owen, 85, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) two counts of Possession of child pornography
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Thursday November 24, 2011.
He is a retired teacher from the Scarborough area and it is possible that he has tutored children from his home.
Police believe there may be other victims.

Missing man, Andrew David Tam, 21
The Toronto Police Service is requesting the publics assistance locating a missing man.
Andrew David Tam, 21, was last heard from on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at 4:10 p.m
He is described as a black, 6, 150 lbs, short, black hair with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black winter jacket with fur around the hood, black pants, black Nike running shoes, with red and orange on the sides, and a red baseball cap with a white P on the front.
Police are concerned for his safety.
He is known to frequent the Sheppard Avenue/Morningside Avenue area.

Public Safety Alert, Man impersonating police officer
The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a man in connection with a suspicious incident involving the impersonation of a police officer.
It is reported that:
- on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at 1:30 p.m., a man knocked on the victim's door, in the Kennedy Road and Lawrence Avenue East area
- the man verbally identified himself as an undercover police officer and said he was investigating a homicide case
- the man knew personal information about the victim and obtained further personal information about the victim and his family
The suspect is described as white, 32-36, 61"-62", medium build, short, straight dark-blond hair, brown eyes and clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing a navy-blue suit jacket, a black sweater, black pants and black shoes.
The public is reminded that any plainclothes police officer is required to identify himself or herself with their police-issued badge and matching warrant card.

Missing girl located, Kimberly Pryce, 15
The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance locating a missing girl.
Kimberly Pryce, 15, was last seen on Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 8 a.m., in the Black Creek Drive/Lawrence Avenue West area.

Police request assistance with armoured truck robbery investigation, Photograph released of getaway van and stolen handgun
The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad is requesting the public's assistance locating four suspects involved in an armed robbery investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Friday, November 18, 2011, at approximately 9:40 p.m., two armed GARDA armoured truck security guards were on duty outside a RBC bank located at 111 Grangeway Avenue,
- the guards were confronted by three armed masked suspects who stole the guards' firearms and a quantity of cash
- the three suspects fled in a white U-Haul panel van with a fourth suspect driving,
- the license plate on the U-Haul van was concealed.
The suspects are described as wearing dark clothing and ski masks.
Attached is a photo of a Glock Model 17, similar to the firearms that were taken, and a U-Haul panel van, similar to the one used in the robbery. The van has not been recovered.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in a sexual assault investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Monday, November 14, 2011, a 16-year-old girl was on a TTC bus at Steeles Avenue East/Don Mills Road,
- while on the bus the girl was sexually assaulted by a male passenger, who got off the bus at the Finch Subway Station.
The man is described as white, 62, approximately 40-years-old, grey/blond hair, cut short in a buzz cut style. He was wearing acid-stained, denim jeans, and an acid-stained denim jacket and a baseball cap.
