Police request assistance with personal injury collision, Steeles Avenue/Yonge Street
On Thursday, February 16, 2012, at 7:43 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Steeles Avenue and Yonge Street.
It is reported that:
- a Hyundai Elantra vehicle was travelling eastbound on Steeles Avenue West, approaching Yonge Street
- the vehicle entered the intersection and was involved in a collision with a Hyundai Elantra Touring vehicle, that was attempting to make a left turn from westbound Steeles Avenue East to southbound Yonge Street
- the eastbound Hyundai Elantra vehicle continued travelling east from the collision, where it left the roadway and mounted the southeast sidewalk, striking a man and woman
The man and woman were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police request assistance with assault investigation, Weston Road/Keele Street area, Security camera images of suspect released
On Thursday, January 5, 2012, police responded to a call for an assault in the Weston Road/Keele Street area.
It is reported that:
- a man entered an LCBO store where he assaulted an employee
- store security attempted to arrest the man
- the man threatened the security staff with a knife
- the man then got into a taxi cab and threatened to cut the driver's neck
- the man was then driven to 500 Murray Ross Parkway, where he exited the taxi cab
The suspect is described as black, 200 lbs., 30-35, with short, black hair, clean-shaven with a goatee and two teardrops under his left eye. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a black coat with gold detailing and white running shoes.

On Thursday, February 16, 2012, police responded to a call for a suspicious incident in the Queen Street East/Bellefair Avenue area.
It is reported that:
- three 11-year-old girls were walking along Queen Street East, during their lunch hour, when a suspicious man began to follow them
- the girls returned to school and told the principal
It is further reported that:
- a 12-year-old girl was then followed home by a man, possibly the same man, in a vehicle.
The man is described as white, 40-55, 58-59, medium build with grey/silver greasy hair. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, a black T-shirt with Just Do It in white lettering and blue jeans.

It is alleged that:
- between December 2011 and January 2012, the accused, armed with a handgun, walked into six banks in Toronto
- the man demanded money from the staff
- the man fled the scenes with a quantity of money
Christopher Musclow, 27, of Scugog Township, has been charged with:
1) six counts of Robbery while armed with firearm

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a suspicious incident in the Galt Street/Dagmar Avenue area
It is reported that:
- between Saturday, February 11, 2012 and Tuesday, February 14, 2012, pet owners walked their dogs in the laneways, in the Galt Street/Dagmar Avenue area
- the dogs were returned home and then they went into seizures and later died
Police are asking the public who live in the Galt street/Dagmar Avenue area to check their properties and report any suspicious items to police.

On Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 6 p.m., police responded to a call for an attempt abduction in the area of College Street/Dovercourt Road.
It is reported that:
- a 10-year-old boy was walking westbound on College Street from Dovercourt Road when he was approached by a man out front of 961 College Street
- the man took a hold of the boy's wrists and attempted to pull him
- the boy screamed and managed to escape and run home
The suspect is described as white, 6, medium build, with blonde sideburns. He had a skull tattoo on his right cheek and was wearing a blue/white baseball hat, red jacket, camouflage cargo pants, brown sandals with white socks. He also is believed to smoke.

Man charged in historical sexual assault investigation
In May 2011, police began an investigation into allegations of a series of historical sexual assaults.
It is alleged that:
- the accused sexually assaulted five young girls over a period of time in both Toronto and York Region
On Wednesday, February 15, 2012, Recardo Shawn Elliott, 33, of Richmond Hill, was charged with 22 sex-related offences.
Police believe there may be more victims.
The accused is employed as a roofer.

Teen charged in series of false 9-1-1 calls
Between December 2011 and February 2012, the Toronto Police Service received several 9-1-1 calls to the Warden Avenue/Cataraqui Crescent area.
It is alleged that:
- on Wednesday, December 21, 2012, at approximately 9 p.m., the caller reported a stabbing, gave suspect descriptions and an address at which the the suspects were last seen
- the call occupied five uniformed officers for a minimum of 90 minutes, Toronto Fire Services, Toronto Emergency Medical Services, the TPS Emergency Task Force, and an undisclosed number of plainclothes officers
- on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the caller called 9-1-1, gave an address where he led operators to believe a serious incident was taking place, then hung up
- the call occupied four uniformed officers for a minimum of 45 minutes and an undisclosed number of plainclothes police officers
- on Monday, January 16, 2012, at approximately 8:45 p.m., the caller reported an armed robbery, gave suspect descriptions and a direction in which the suspects were seen fleeing
- the call occupied eight uniformed officers for a minimum of three hours, Toronto Community Housing Corporation security officers, and an undisclosed number of plainclothes police officers
- on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at approximately 10 p.m., the caller reported an armed robbery
- the call occupied nine uniformed officers for a minimum of one hour and 45 minutes and an undisclosed number of plainclothes police officers
- on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at approximately 8:15 p.m., the caller reported a person armed with a gun, gave a suspect description and a direction in which the suspect was seen fleeing
- the call occupied five uniformed officers for a minimum of 30 minutes and an undisclosed number of plainclothes police officers
- on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the caller reported a fight in which the victim was bleeding from the head and stomach
- the call occupied five uniformed officers for a minimum of 45 minutes, Toronto Fire Services, Toronto Emergency Medical Services, and an undisclosed number of plainclothes police officers
- on Friday, February 10, 2012, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the caller reported a home invasion in progress and gave the address where it was happening
- the call occupied two uniformed officers for a minimum of 30 minutes and an undisclosed number of plainclothes police officers
- all the 9-1-1 calls were false
In addition, each call occupied one Communications Dispatcher and one Communications Call Taker, preventing them from answering real 9-1-1 calls. Several of the calls inconvenienced residents and people in the area of the alleged emergencies.
On Wednesday, February 15, 2012, police executed a search warrant and arrested a 16-year old boy of Toronto.
He is charged with:
1) seven counts of Public Mischief
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at 10 a.m.
It is alleged that:

Toronto man arrested for Indignity to a Dead Body Aaron Johnston, 23
On Wednesday February 1, 2012, police responded a call for unknown trouble in the area of Clendenan Avenue/Maria Street.
The lifeless body of a 31-year-old woman was discovered in a rolled-up carpet in a laneway.
It is alleged that:
- the accused moved a deceased woman's body from within an apartment, wrapped her body in a carpet, and left it in the laneway in the Clendenan Avenue/Maria Street area
On Thursday, February 16, 2012, Aaron Johnston, 23, of Toronto, was
arrested and charged with:
1) Performing an Indignity to a Dead Body
He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at 2 p.m, room 101.
